I was a photojournalist at the Marin Independent Journal and other publications in the northern San Francisco Bay Area for nearly 20 years.  I graduated with a Journalism degree (with an emphasis in photojournalism) from San Francisco State University and was the Hood Recipient for the School of Humanities.  In addition to my previous work as a photojournalist, I spent the last 30 years teaching photography to students with a wide range of abilities; from high school students learning basic photography to upper division college students acquiring advanced visual storytelling skills.
